Eve Beaudin

Journalist, columnist and host for close to 20 years, Eve Beaudin has worked on both television and radio as well as in print media.

After her start with Le Journal de Montréal and at Urbania, she was a reporter on the program La vie en vert (Télé-Québec) for five seasons and a contributor specializing in responsible consumption, health and food for such shows as Bien dans son assiette (ICI Première, two seasons), Cap sur l’été (ICI tv, two seasons), C’est extra (V télé, two seasons) and Libre-service (MAtv, three seasons).

Currently, Eve hosts the TV series C’est une question de santé (Savoir média, three seasons) and the capsules Anatomie des fausses nouvelles (Savoir média), which she writes. She’s also been a reporter on the program Ça vaut le coût for 10 seasons (Télé-Québec).

For over five years, Eve has also written for Agence Science-Presse’s Le Détecteur de rumeurs, besides designing, producing and hosting different multimedia projects developed for them (Dépister la désinfo podcast; capsules #VraimentVrai, Les biais cognitifs avec Louis T., etc.).

Convinced that the struggle against disinformation should include greater media literacy, Eve has also made it her mission to help the public get better informed and understand the practice of journalism. She’s among other things the author of the training program #30sec avant d’y croire, which has reached more than 30,000 people since it was launched in 2018, and in 2020 she was one of the recipients of the News Literacy Award presented by the Canadian Journalism Foundation. She is also vice-president of the Centre québécois pour l’éducation aux médias et à l’information, which she founded with other professional journalists.

Eve has also had extensive experience hosting panels, webinars and conferences on topics as diverse as consumption, the environment, health, science and media literacy.
