David Giguère

As soon as he appeared in Montreal's artistic community in 2010, David Giguère turned heads. Intense, singular and versatile actor, inspired and deep singer-songwriter, outstanding projects are piling up. On stage or on screen, he was first cast for the hit film Starbuck (Ken Scott) in 2011, in addition to performing his composition L’Atelier (Hisser Haut, 2012). He cultivates a bond with director Marc Beaupré, first playing Scipio in the popular and critical hit Caligula (Remix) in 2011, then playing the title role in Don Juan ... Uncensored in 2012.

The same year, he presented Hisser Haut, a first album of vibrant electro-pop songs, dancing chronicles of the discovery of the city and its secrets. The public and the critics are won over. This disc allows him to travel throughout Quebec and even in Brazil, in addition to providing the opening acts for renowned singers such as Ariane Moffatt, Cœur de Pirate or Bénabar.

In 2014, he joined forces with director Jonathan Dauphinais to deliver a new opus, Casablanca. There followed appearances in the theater, on television, in successful series such as in The Simones and in the cinema in the film "Sashinka" which will be presented at several festivals.

In 2019, David Giguère returns with an album that exudes authenticity, youth and originality: Constance. Produced by Jonathan Dauphinais, the album will benefit from more than five years of compositions, arrangements and recording. The songwriter demonstrates once again that he reads and understands his generation as few do.
