Writer, columnist, and screenwriter, Tristan Malavoy has published the novels Le Nid de pierres and L’œil de Jupiter (Prix France-Québec 2021), the book with music L’école des vertiges (2018), and the collection of columns Feux de position (2017). In October 2022, he released Un endroit familier, a trilogy of narratives that explore his family history, ost intimate and the more remote aspects.
In September 2023, his piece Les arcanes, another reflection on memory and its transmission, was performed at Théâtre Prospero by Etienne Pilon, directed by Paul-André Fortier.
For television, he co-wrote La musique à tout prix, a documentary about the music industry (Télé-Québec, 2016), and scripted Le pouvoir fantôme, a docufiction examining the connections between the political world and organized crime (currently in production).
Additionally, for five years, Tristan Malavoy hosted a column on books and visual arts on Télé-Québec. He also oversees the "Quai n°5" collection at Éditions XYZ, dedicated to novels, short stories, and graphic novels. Concurrently, he teaches creative writing at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and the Université de Sherbrooke.
